05/11/2022 INSP - INITIAL CODE ENFORCMENT VIDAL Approved The office called that T.F.D. on site with a fire in the living room. Arrived and the units were cleaning up and leaving the site. The fire investigators were on site and completed the checking for cause. The house was vacant and unsecured and appears to have been occupied by a squatter for some time due to the amount of trash and debris in the house. The fire was contained to a couch in the living room with smoke damage to the walls and ceiling. The couch was against the front door. The drywall on the ceiling was pulled down to check if fire was in the attic. Found no fire damage in the attic. The gas was already turned off and the electrical was also off at the meters. The water was also off due to lacking payment. Not able to locate the owner and called Laurie to get permission to have the property secured. Was given permission and called Arcadian Industries to the site to secure the house. Has some light smoke to the walls and ceiling in the other rooms. All the openings will be secured with screws or plywood. Did the posting of Do Not Enter on the front window and posted the N.O.V. to Vacate. RV.
