12/16/2021 INSP - INITIAL CODE ENFORCMENT VIDAL Approved Communication called that T.F.D. on site with an apartment fire. Arrived and all the units have cleared and the fire investigators were on site checking for cause. Southwest Gas was on site putting gas back on to the other units that had the gas turned off and not involved in the fire. The electrical was turned off to other units that was not involved in the fire and those units were checked and the electrical was turned back on and the tenants were let back into the units. Units #1239, #1235, #1241 had no fire damage and all cleared to go back into the units. 1231 has no one home and the electrical is on but the gas was left off due to not able to check the equipment using gas. There is mail in the mail box and hasn't been checked for some time. The fire was in the 2-bedrooms and have been burned out with heavy smoke damage to the rest of the unit. A vent hole was cut on the roof on the front bedroom, the windows have burned out in both bedrooms, 2-bathroom windows have broken glass due to the heat of the fire or venting, drywall was pulled down to check for the fire in the walls and ceiling, the wood framing is OK, the wood doors have burned or damage of the heat of the fire or smoke damage, the electrical and the gas have been turned off at the meters due to the damage of the fire, water damage to the flooring and has standing water on the floor. Not able to make contact with the owner of the property and did make contact with the answering service of the property management and left a message of the fire and going to secure the site. Called Arcaiden Industries to the site to have the property secured. Did do the posting of the paperwork on the front window due to no one came to the site for the owner or the property manager. The tenant is being checked and will not be back soon. RV.
01/18/2022 INSP - FOLLOW UP CODE ENFORCE VIDAL Approved The unit is vacant and secured and the property manager is working on getting the unit cleaned up and getting a contractor to start doing the work. The have been working with the insurance company on getting the work done. At this time the case will be closed. Violation Abated, Close Case. RV.
