I MET WITH THE NEIGHBOR WHO HAS INSTALLED A ENCE ALONG THE FRONT AND WEST SIDE OF THE PROPERTY WOULD LIKE TO REMOVE THE EXISTING CHAIN LINK FENCE AND MATCH THEIR NEW FENCE. THERE ARE NO PROPERTY PINS AND I INFORMED HER THE LOT WOULD NEED TO BE SURVEYED BEFORE I TAKE ANY ACTION OR THIS WOULD BECOME A CIVIL MATTER TAKEN UP IN CIVIL COURT IF NECESSARY. OCCUPANT ALSO CONTACTED HER SURVEYOR WHO HAS NOT BEEN OUT TO THE PROPERTY BCAUSE HE HAS NO CONTRACT WITH THE NEIGHBORS AT THIS TIME. NEIGHBOR IS SPANISH SPEAKING ONLY, AFTER BEING AT THE PROPERTY FOR SOME TIME I CONTACTED SUPERVISOR MARTIN ROMERO ASKED IF HE COULD MEET ON THE PROPERTY. A TIME WAS SET UP FOR 9:00 AM ON FRIDAY 11/12.
11/12/2021 INSP - FOLLOW UP CODE ENFORCE GOODMAN Approved MET WITH SUPERVISOR MARTIN ROMERO ON SITE OF THE PROPERTY DUE TO OCCUPANT FEELING I WAS NOT GIVING ENOUGH INFORMATION ABOUT C/E RESPONSIBILITIES. ROMERO HELPED THE OWNERS TO UNDERSTAND THAT C/E COULD TAKE NO ACTIONS ON THEIR REQUEST TO REMOVE EXISITING PERIMETER FENCE UNTIL A SURVEY WAS COMPLETED AND PROPERTY PINS ESTABLISHED SO THAT WE KNOW WHO OWNES OR IS RESPONSIBLE FOR THE EXISTING CHAIN LINK FENCE AND EXTENDED WOOD FENCE. WIFE ORIGINALLY TOLD ME NEIGHBOR OWNED THE FENCE AND HUSBAND STATED TODAY THEY OWNED THE FENCE, THEY WENT OVER ALL THE TRASH AND DEBRIS ISSUES THAT MADE THE FENCE UNSAFE, WENT OVER THE UNSAFE WOOD FENCE AND IT WAS MADE CLEAR THAT C/E WOULD NOT TAKE ANY STEPS UNTIL PROPERTY PINS WERE ESTABLISHED. IT IS VERY CLEAR THAT THE FENCE HAD BEEN INPLACE FOR MANY YEARS AND NEVER AND ISSUE BETWEEN THE TWO EXISTING NEIGHBORS IN THE PAST. NEW OWNER STATES THAT A SURVEYOR IS COMING BY TODAY TO LOOK AT THE PROPERTY. NONE THE LESS THE OWNERS DO NOT YET HAVE A CONTRACT WITH THE SURVEYOR THE ANSWER I RECEIVED FROM THE SURVEYOR OVER THE PHONE ON TUESDAY. PERHAPS WHEN THE PROPER STEPS ARE TAKEN TO ESTABLISH PROPERTY PINS AND FENCE OWNERSHIP THE NEW OWNERS CAN MOVE FORWARD WITH GETTING THEIR NEEDS MET. AT THIS TIME C/E INSPECTOR MOVES TO CLOSE CASE.
