10/27/2021 INSP - INITIAL CODE ENFORCMENT GOODMAN Approved PRIOR TO INSPECTION I HAD RECEIVED A CALL FROM TFD STATING THEY WERE AT THE APT COMPLEX AND THAT 2 OCCUPANTS STATED THEY HAD NO POWER AND THAT THEY HEARD MICE OR RATS INSIDE THE WALLS BUT WERE UNABLE TO FIND ANY EVIDENCE ASKED IF I COULD COME BY AND TAKE A LOOK AND GAVE ME THE MAINTANENCE PERSONS CONTACT INFO. IN ROUTE I CONTACTED THE MAINTANENCE PERSON WHO STATED HE WOULD MEET ME ON SITE. UPON ARRIVAL I CHECKED UNIT #112 WHO STATED THEY HAD NO POWER. THE MAINTANENCE PERSON HAD A METER THAT WE PLUGGED INTO EACH OUT AND SHOWS THERE IS 120 V0LTS AND WIRED CORRECTLY. WE FOUND TWO OUTLETS, ONE THAT WAS BROKEN AND I FEEL THE OCCUPANT WHO IS IN A WHEEL CHAIR HIT THAT OUTLET AND DAMAGED THE OUTLET THE OTHER OUTLET NOT WORKING WAS TIED TO THE BROKEN OUTLET. WE TURNED OFF POWER AND REPLACED BOTH OUTLETS. THEN CHECKED EVERY OUT LET IN THE KITCHEN LIVINGROOM AREA AND FOUND ALL OUTLETS WERE WORKING PROPERLY. THEY ALSO STATED THE STOVE WAS NOT WORKING. BUT ALL THE TOP BURNER PIECES WERE REMOVED. WE REPLACED ALL THE PIECES, PLUGGED THE BURNED IN AND TURNED ON ALL BURNERS AND THE OVEN AND EVERYTHING WAS WORKING ON THE STOVE. UNIT #112 WAS ABATED. PLACE WAS A MESS INSIDE AS A SIDE NOTE. I THEN WENT TO UNIT 207 AND IT WAS MUCH THE SAME AS THE FIRST UNIT HOWEVER THIS OCCUPANT WAS BEING EVICTED AND MANAGEMENT WAS WAITING FOR A COURT DATE. OCCUPANT STATED SHE WAS STARTING TO GET STUFF OUT. ALL THE FURNITURE INSIDE LOOKED LIKE IT HAD BEEN PULLED OFF THE STREET. THERE WAS A OUTLET IN THE BEDROOM THE OCCUPANT SAID WAS SMOKING, WE PULLED THE OUTLET IT WAS DAMAGED AND IT WAS REPLACED. SAME ISSUE WITH THE STOVE IT HAD BEEN PULLED APART BUT THERE WAS ALL KINDS OF STUFF STACKED ON TOP OF THE STOVE AND CABINETS. I TOLD THE OCCUPANT THAT IF THE STOVE WAS CLEANED FREE OF ALL THE TRASH AND DEBRIS THAT MAINTANENCE WOULD BE BACK TO PUT THE STOVE BACK TOGETHER. I HAVE NOT FURTHER ISSUES WITH EITHER UNIT EXCEPT FOR THE MESS IN EACH OF THE UNITS AND OCCUPANTS NOT TAKING CARE OF THE OPPURTUNITY PROVIDED BY THE OWNERS. THERE WERE NO FIRES. COMPLIANCE / CLOSE CASE.
