I LOOKED AT BOTH ENDS OF BUILDING #4 AND FOUND CLEAN OUTS ON BOTH ENEDS OF THE BUILDING, BUT THE CLEAN OUT ON THE NORTH END OF THE BUILDING, NEXT TO UNIT #402, DID HAVE WASTE SEEPING FROM THE SEWER LINE. I WENT TO THE OFFICE SPOKE WITH THE MANAGER WHO STATED SHE HAD CONTACTED PROFESSIONAL PLUMBING TO COME OUT ON FRIDAY BUT AFTER ARRIVING STATED THEY WERE UNWILLING TO DO THE WORK. MANAGER CONTACTED OO7 PLUMBING, THEY WOULD NOT DO THE WORK BECAUSE OF UNPAID BILLS FROM THE PAST. MANAGER HESITATED TO MENTION THAT OWNER HAD NOT BEEN PAYING BILLS. MANAGER CONTACTED THE OWNER, WHILE ON THE PHONE TRIED TO SAY IT WAS CHAMBERLAIN PROPERTY MANAGEMENT'S RESPONSIBILITY TO GET THE BILLS PAID. I STATED WHEN INFORMED OF THE SEWER LEAK, IT WAS A ISSUE THAT NEEDED TO BE ADDRESSED PROMPTLY AND NOT WAITING DAYS TO ABATE THE ISSUE BECAUSE OF THE HEALTH HAZARD. MANAGER THEN INFORMED BOTH OF US THAT SHE HAD CONTACTED SIVERADO PLUMBING, BUT HAD NO START TIME YET. I THEN CONTACTED SILVERADO PLUMBING WHO INFORMED ME THAT THEY WOULD BE OUT BETWEEN 10 AND 2. I WALKED BACK OUT TO BUILDING 4, AND FOUND THE REGIONAL HEAD OF MAINTANENCE ONSITE. HE WAS CONTACTED AND CAME OUT DIRECTLY HE WAS ALREADY IN THE PROCESS OF GETTING A SNAKE OUT TO TRY AND FIND THE CLOGG IN THE SEWER LINE AND THEN SNAKE THE OCCUPANTS TOILET IN #402, HE WAS ALSO AWARE THAT SILVERADO PLUMBING WAS ON THEIR WAY OUT. I INFORMED HIM THAT WHEN SILVERADO CAME OUT I WOULD LIKE THEM TO SNAKE THE LINE FROM BOTH ENDS OF BUILDING 4 AND CLEAR THE ENTIRE SEWER LINE, CLEAN AND SANITIZE THE AREA SURROUNDING THE CLEAN OUT AND TO MAKE ANY REPAIRS NECESSARY OUT SIDE OF CLEARING THE LINE. NOTICE OF VIOLATION WAS ISSUED TO AND SIGNED FOR BY THE REGIONAL MANAGER, 24 HRS WERE GIVEN TO ABATE THE ISSUE. |
10/12/2021 | INSP - FOLLOW UP CODE ENFORCE | GOODMAN | Approved | PRIOR TO REVISTING THE SITE I RECEIVED A EMAIL FOR THE BILLING OF WORK PERFORMED FROM SILVERADO PLUMBING. I REVISITED THE SITE FOUND THE CAP BACK ON THE SEWER LINE. SILVERADO DID CLEAR THE LINE, THEY CLEANED AND BLEACHED THE AREA SURROUNDING THE CLEAN OUT. OCCUPANT I UNIT #402 STATED HIS TOILET WAS WORKING AGAIN AS OF MONDAY BEFORE 3:00. THERE WAS INFORMATION ON THE BILLING THAT SILVERADO WOULD BE BACK OUT TO COMPLETE ISSUES BEYOND THE CLEARING OF SEWER LINE. MY ISSUES HAVE BEEN ABATED. COMPLIANCE / CLOSE CASE. |
