09/03/2021 INSP - INITIAL CODE ENFORCMENT VIDAL Approved The office called that T.F.D. on site with a house fire. Arrived and the units were still on site and were cleaned up and were leaving the site. The fire investigators were on site and the fire was in the kitchen area and was making popcorn and had a fire. The fire was contained to the kitchen area and the stove and the microwave are a total lost. The kitchen cabinets have some fire damage and smoke damage. There is no structual damage to the wood framing but has smoke damage to the drywall in the kitchen and the living room. Has 2-bedrooms and the will need to be cleaned of light smoke damage. The flooring has water from the fire being put out. The electrical was removed at the main breaker on the exterior of the unit at the main panel for the building. The gas was pinned at this time and the owner can call to have the gas turned back on once the unit has been repaired. The property is a rental and the tenants have a place to stay at a family members house. The owner was on site and signed the paperwork on site. The owner will be securing the unit once they are done with the fire investigation. Did do the posting of Do Not Enter on the front window. The gas will not need a permit to be turned back on. Will need to call once the unit has been repaired to have the gas turned back on. Breakers to the other units were turned back on. RV.
09/07/2021 INSP - FOLLOW UP CODE ENFORCE VIDAL Approved The property is vacant and secured. The owner will be working with the insuance and the owner will be doing the work. At this time the case will be closed. Violation Abated. Close Case. RV.
