| 09/02/2021 | INSP - INITIAL CODE ENFORCMENT | VIDAL | Approved | Inspector Goodman called that T.P.D. on site with a vacant and unsecured house. Arrived and all the unit were still on site and the house has been cleared. The house is empty of furniture and work is being done through out the house. The rear sliding glass door opening has french doors being added in the opening. The plywood that was on the bottom was pulled off to enter the house. Has a window on the side of that opening and that was pried opened and the plywood broke. The front door jamb is not able to lock due to the wood door jamb on the strike side is broken and missing the wood to lock the door. Did make contact with the owner and she will get off work and come to the site. The owner wanted to lock the building due to the cost. Did wait for the owner to come to the site to sign the paperwork. The front door was able to lock with placing screws in the inside of the door to the wood jamb. The plywood in the rear of the house was able to put back into place and place screws to have the area secured. The gate in the alley was also pulled off and was also able to place back into place and put screws into the plywood to the wood side for a wood gate. At this time the house is secured and showed the owner where to get into the house to remove the screws from the front door to open the door when needed. The owner did sign the paperwork on site and went over on cleaning of the property of the tall grass and weeds, the trash and debris, the permit issues on the work being done on the house. Has a front porch that was removed and replaced with new when a tree hit the house and no permit was issued. Has a room that was a carport and converted to a room for living space for the house. The posting of Do Not Enter are still posted on the house in different areas. RV. |
