HE THEN STATED THE LANDLORD FIXED THE DRY WALL, CODE ENFORCEMENT THEN PRESSED AT DIFFERENT AREAS OF THE WALL SHOWING THE WALLS ARE NOT IN THE STATE OF COLLAPSING. MALE OCCUPANT THEN STATED THEY HAVE RODENT INFESTATION INSIDE THE WALL, NO SOUNDS CAN BE HEARD AT THE TIME OF INSPECTION, CODE ENFORCEMENT, THE LANDLORD AND MALE OCCUPANT LOOKED AROUND THE UNIT FOR ANY SIGNS OF RODENT FECES, DEAD INSECT CARCASS, ACTIVE INSECTS OR RODENTS WITHOUT SUCCESS. THE UPSET AND FRUSTRATED MALE OCCUPANT THEN STATED THE LANDLORD HAS CLEANED THE UNIT, CODE ENFORCEMENT INTERRUPTED THE CLAIM WITH THE STATEMENT OF THE CONDITION OF THE INTERIOR OF THE UNIT IS NOT CLEAN. THERE ARE PIECES OF FOOD AND CRUMBS THROUGHOUT THE KITCHEN FLOOR AND CABINETS THAT WOULD ATTRACT THESE PESTS AND WOULD LEAVE EVIDENCE OF THEIR ACTIVITY. BOTH OCCUPANTS GREW UPSET AND FRUSTRATED THAT CODE ENFORCEMENT WAS NOT GOING TO PENALIZE THE LANDLORD FOR THEIR CLAIMS, CODE ENFORCEMENT MADE THE DECISION TO END THE INSPECTION AS THE TENSION AND ACCUSATIONS GREW. FEMALE OCCUPANT STATED SHE WAS GOING TO CONTACT CODE ENFORCEMENT SUPERVISION FOR THE LACK OF SUPPORT FROM THE INSPECTOR. CASE CLOSED DUE TO LACK OF EVIDENCE TO SUPPORT ALLEGED CLAIMS. |
