Arrived and the units were clearing and had a stove fire where the tenant was covering the fire with the lid and the flames set the sprinkler head off. The water from the sprinkler head flooded the unit on the second floor and than into the unit below this unit and also flooded the unit. The fire department turned off the water to the sprinkler head and a company was on site extracting the water. The second floor is a hoarder and was having trouble getting all the water from the unit. The items will need to be moved to get all the water out. The drywall ceiling fell down where the sprinkler head went off. The electrical was removed at the meter for the hoarding and the damage to the unit. The maintenance supervisor was on site and signed the paperwork and he will be securing the site once the water has been extracted. The fire captain was staying on site to check when the sprinkler head is replaced and the pressure back on. The captain will call the the sprinkler head is reparied and the system is back on line.
