11/27/2020 INSP - INITIAL CODE ENFORCMENT VIDAL Approved Went to the property to check if the property was vacant and secured and found the house being remodeled. There was a person on site and was waiting for a load of drywall to be delivered to the property due to a contractor was hired to hang the drywall. Did walk the interior of the property and found where all the drywall that was existing was removed, the roof rafters that were lacking have been replaced with new, new sheathing through out the house, new windows, upgrade on the electrical, new electrical wiring on the interior of the house and has junction boxes that will be covered with no access due to not placed at the bottom of the rafters for access. The connection have not been made up in the boxes. Will need a new water heater, heating and cooling, the plumbing checked, reconnect for the gas if needed, new doors, wood framing checked due to was exposed to the element and was not protected, new ductwork due to lacking at this time. Openings have been removed by covering the opening with block or wood framing of door ways or window openings. Did do the posting of the N.O.V. on the front window and posted a Stop Work Order with the N.O.V. The person on site did want a card and he was given a card for the owner to call. Did let him know that my phone number was on the N.O.V. if also needed to call me. The person was asking if the drywall and the mud could be place in the house and was given permission to stock the house with the drywall but was not able to install at this time due to no permit has been issued. Did let the person know that a permit has been issued for a demo and not the work being done at this time. Did let the person know that no other work can be done on the property until the permit has been issued or approved for all the work that has been done and going to be done. This property has been sold several times and this is a new owner doing the work and bought the house in the condition it's in now. Did talk to a contractor and went over on his responsibility as a new owner is to get the permit if he wants to continue the work. Will check in 30 days. RV.
12/23/2020 INSP - FOLLOW UP CODE ENFORCE VIDAL Approved The house is vacant and secured. Appears that the work has stopped on the interior of the property and the drywall has been stocked in the house. The posting are still in place on the front window. RV.
