11/01/2020 INSP - INITIAL CODE ENFORCMENT VIDAL Approved Communication called that T.F.D. was on site with a car into building. Arrived and all the units were still on site and T.P.D. was just arriving and placing cones to block off the area. The building has a store front glass frames and 2-sections have been broken. The interior of the building had a coin machine against the window frame and that was pushed to the other side of the building where a door was placed and the window frame was pushed off the tracks and the door was not able to close. The manager of the business was not able to have the building secured and gave permission to call the City of Tucson contractor to the site to have the building secured. Called Arcaiden Industries to the site to have the building secured. The vehicles were being pulled from the building and started to have the building secured with plywood over the opening of the broken glass. Was able to move the window frame back into the track and placed some screws to hold in place. The doors were able to closed by pushing in and was able to lock the doors. The interior of the business was filled with broken glass from the windows and parts from the vehicle. The interior has counter tops that have been knocked down where the poles supporting the counter tops have been pulled out or bent. The cash has been pulled out of the machines that were in the looby and placed in the safe inside the office. Did place Do Not Enter placards on the door way opening on both sides of the building. The manager signed the paperwork on site. The property has a hold on the property for work done on the property and the permits expired with out inspection. I was not able to open a case at this time due to the hold on the property by Planning and Development Services Department. Will check if they can open the case in the office on Monday. The manager was working on getting the doors to lock and had a locksmith working on the doors. RV.
11/06/2020 INSP - FOLLOW UP CODE ENFORCE VIDAL Approved Due to the company will be working with the insurance of the person that hit the building and getting a contractor to order the glass and metal frame, this case will be closed at this time. Violation Abated, Close Case. RV.
