The fire started in the area of 345 E. 12th St. on the front porch area and carried over to the other units by the front porch. The interior of the unit has fire damage and has a broken window, a window above the door has been broken. The front door is burned. The plaster on the walls and ceiling in the living room area is loose or falling off. The house has heavy smoke damage through out the unit. One of the windows is broken in the kitchen area on the inside area. The house was secured with plywood by Arcaiden Industries the city contractor due to the owner not able to secure the property. The owner was on site and signed the paperwork. The tenants were allowed to remove items from the unit before secured. The electrical was removed at the meter due to the amount of damage. There was no gas on the property and Southwest Gas did check the area for gas leaks and all was OK. Did do the posting of Do Not Enter on the front door on the plywood. The owner will let the tenants back in at a later time. RV. |
