08/28/2020 INSP - INITIAL CODE ENFORCMENT VIDAL Approved The supervisor Martin Romero called that T.F.D. on site with a building fire. Arrived and the units were still on site and were pushing water to the outside the unit to get out of the unit. Had a sprinkler head go off in unit #1302 in the kitchen area. Appears that the oven was left on and the heat of the oven set the sprinkler head off which is in the front of the oven on the ceiling. The management was on site and called a company for the extraction of the water and to replace the spfinkler head. There was no fire damage and only water damage. The sprinkler head went off on the third floor and went down to the first floor. Did have an elevator that did get some water on the floor and called the company to check the unit. Did have some board damaged by the moisture in the area of the elevator and were repaired and all were working. The electrical has been removed at the main breaker at the meter. The sprinkle head has been replaced and the system has pressure back on the fire line. The alarm has been re-set and called in for being back on line. This unit has drywall damage to the walls and the floor was flooded with approx. 4" of water in the unit. The door to the closet in the kitchen area has been damaged. This unit has some carpet and the hallway in the front of the door has been soaked with water. The tenant was vacated and the manager signed the paperwork. Did do the posting of Do Not Enter on the unit number. RV.
09/03/2020 INSP - FOLLOW UP CODE ENFORCE VIDAL Approved Work is being done to the property and the electrican was on site checking the damage. Does have a contractor working on all the units at this time. This unit has been vacated and the tenant is living in another unit. At this time the case will be closed. Violation Abated, Close Case. RV.
