07/15/2020 INSP - INITIAL CODE ENFORCMENT VIDAL Approved Tony from T.E.P.called and the electrical has been off since December and is currently on with taking power from next door. Arrived and the electrical was on and the tenants relative let me in to check the elctrical service panel. Did call Tony from T.E.P. and the electrical should of been off to 1518 and was getting power from 1514. The electrical has been off since December due to lack of payment. The electrical was being taken from 1514 disconnect to a breaker panel at 1518. The wires were attached to a 30 AMP breaker and back feeding the service panel to 1518. Did talk to the person in the house and they thought the payments were being made. While on site the wires were removed and leaving the 1518 with out power. The tenant did show up and she did state that the power has been off since December due to not able to work with the virus at this time. T.E.P. was not taking action due to the electrical was not being taken from T.E.P. but was being taken from the neighbors electrical disconnect. T.P.D. was called by the neighbor to make a case on the tampering. The mother of the owner was on site and signed the paperwork. The mother of the owner was going to have the property secured once the tenant gets what she needs for the night. Did do the posting of Do Not Enter on the front window and did let the tenant know that the owner needs to know and be let into the unit to get items out. They did have a baby and the baby was removed from the property. The keys were given to the mother of the owner and they talked on when the tenant will be coming back to get other items out. The tenant has contacted T.E.P. and they went over on what needs to be done. The tenant will need a reconnect for the electrical to be turned back on. T.P.D. did cite the tenant for the tampering and will be going to court. RV.
07/16/2020 INSP - FOLLOW UP CODE ENFORCE VIDAL Approved The property is vacant and secured. At this time the case will be closed. Violation Abated, Close Case. RV.
