06/30/2020 INSP - INITIAL CODE ENFORCMENT GOODMAN Approved VISITED SITE, FIRST MET WITH MANAGER WHO STATED THEY HAD RECEIVED A NO A/C COMPLAINT ON JUNE 16, HAD MAINTANENCE MAKE REPAIRS TO THE SYSTEM, CHECKED AND DID FIND THE SYTEM WAS BLOWING COLD AIR. I FOUND OUT THE THE OCCUPANT WAS SECTION 8, SUPPOSE TO BE LIVING BY HERSELF BUT TOLD BY MANAGEMENT THAT SHE OFTEN BRINGS HOMELESS IN TO TAKE A SHOWER OR STAY OVERNIGHT, MAYBE FEED THEM. HER SON ALSO STAYS WITH THE OCCUPANT AND BRINGS HIS 4-5 DOGS TOTTALING 8 DOGS IN THE UNIT. MANAGEMENT ALSO STATED OCCUPANT DOES HAVE CANCER BUT RECENTLY STARTED TELLING OTHER OCCUPANTS THAT SHE HAS COVID19. MANAGEMENT STATED THEY INFORMED HER THEY WOULD NOT BE RENEWING HER LEASE AS OF AUGUST 1, THIS WAS BROUGHT UP TO MANAGEMENT BY THE OWNER. SECTION 8 ASKED SHE BE GIVEN A NON RENEWEL SOONER SO THAT THEY CAN PROVIDE HER A TICKET TO FIND HER A DIFFERENT APARTMENT. I TOOK MAINTANENCE PERSON TO THE OCCUPANTS UNIT AND SPOKE TO THE OCCUPANT ABOUT THE A/C. I WAS NOT WILLING TO ENTER THE UNIT. DID FIND ANOTHER PERSON INSIDE THE UNIT WITH THE OCCUPANT.HE DID AAPPEAR TO BE HOMEESS ONLY INFORMAION FROM THE OCCUPANT WAS THAT THE A/C WAS NOT BLOWING HARD ENOUGH. SECTION 8 WILL NOT FOLLOW UP. MANAGER HAS PROVIDED 6 WORK ORDERS ALL DONE WITHIN THE FIRST 6 MONTHS OF THE YEAR AND PROVIDED NOTICE NOT TO RENEW THAT I BELIEVE COMPLYS WITH THE COVID 19 REQUEST NOT TO EVICT. WORK IS IN PROGRESS AND SEC 8 WILL PROVIDE NEW HOUSING TICKET. COMPLIANCE / CLOSE CASE.
