What uses are the permitted uses at the intersection of Norris and Mabel. When we built our house at 1945 E. Mabel we were told by the permit department that we were in a residential use zone. That is why we spend $500,000 plus to build here. Since then the house across the street form us on Norris has become a juvenile half way house and the house on the South West corner has become the East African refugee center for the Lutheran church . I am sympathetic to both causes but are those uses permitted in a residential zone ? I contacted Steve K our council member and was basically dismissed by him. I want some answers. The house across the street on Norris from the East African refugee center on Norris has been placed on the market and I have to believe it is because of the huge parking and traffic problem caused by the East African refugee center . Values are dropping and the result will be that owners will sell and get out before they drop much more,. I doubt that I can get what I paid to build this house because of what I believe is the non residential use that has been allowed
