02/22/2020 INSP - INITIAL CODE ENFORCMENT VIDAL Approved Communication called that T.P.D. on site with a car into building. Arrived and the units were still on site and had a truck completly into the building. The vehicle was able to be driven out of the building. The damage was done to the store front glass entrance. Has 2-doors that have been pushed in with the metal frame but the glass is intact. Has a conduit on the metal frame for an outlet and that has been removed with the metal frame being loose. The wires were cut at the joint at the ceiling level. The electrical was removed and once the wires were taped, the electrical was turned back on. The main electrical panels are blocked and did meet with the management and will be cleared to have access to the panels at all times. The health department was called to the site to check what needs to be done to re-open. The health department was happy with what was being done and will not need to come back to the site to re-open the store. The management did call for a crew to have the opening secured and they were on site working on getting the opening closed. The store will be closed and will call when secured to have the store re-opened. The owner of the business was on site and signed the paperwork. Did do a posting of Do Not Enter on the front of the store at this time. The owner will call to have the the securement checked to re-opened. RV.
02/22/2020 INSP - INITIAL CODE ENFORCMENT VIDAL Approved Inspector Lopez went to the site to check if the business could open. The contractor called that the work has been completed. The opening has a wood frame covering the area where the glass and the window frames were removed. The store has been cleaned and has cleared isles. The health department did not have to go to the site to clear the store due to was cleaning the store when the health department went ealier to check the damage. The store was able to open. RV.
02/25/2020 INSP - FOLLOW UP CODE ENFORCE VIDAL Approved The area is still secured and the business is able to remain opened. The business will be working with the insurance company and has to have the glass and the window frames ordered. At this time the case will be closed. Violation Abated, Close Case. RV.
