02/14/2020 INSP - INITIAL CODE ENFORCMENT VIDAL Approved Communication called that T.F.D. on site with an electrical issues and the unit will have to be condemned. Arrived and the units have left the site and the tenants were still on the property. They did show where the fire was located. The fire was in the sub-panel for the electrical in the bathroom. The main breaker was off on the main panel on the exterior of the structure by T.F.D. Did call T.E.P. to the site due to the breakers were hot and found where the bars had burning from arcing. No damage to the structure and the arcing was contained to the panel. Did try and call the owner and not able to make contact. Did get a number for the maintenance man and not able to make contact with the maintenance man. Did make contact with another person but has nothing to do with the complex but does come and help every once in awhile. The tenant signed the paperwork and will give the copies to the owner when she sees the owner. The Redcross was coming to the site and had no time frame to come to the site or had they called the tenants. There was no structual damage to the structure and the arcing was contained to the panel. The tenants were homed at the time of the incident.
02/15/2020 INSP - FOLLOW UP CODE ENFORCE VIDAL Approved Did make contact with the owner of the property and did go over on what happened on the site. The owner was going to call an electrician to go and look at the damage. At this time the case will be closed due to the owner will get the permit and call the inspection to get the power back on. Did place the Do Not Enter on the front window now that the tenants have left the site. Violation Abated, Close Case. RV.
