02/13/2020 INSP - INITIAL CODE ENFORCMENT VIDAL Approved Communication called that T.F.D. on site where a chimmney fell on a man. Arrived and all the units are still on site due to the man has died and was going crime scene. The wood rafters were all broken around the masonry stack that was on the roof. The bottom section of the fireplace was removed already and was remove the section of the stack that was on the roof. There was a person on a 2-man scoffold that was removing some of the block that was holding the stack to the masonry wall from the house walls. The stack gave and fell on the scoffold knocking the man down and the stack fell on the men crushing him. The whole house is being remolded at this time. Has a new concrete floor, new wood wall framing, all the heating and cooling has been removed, the plumbing has been removed and being replaced with new, the electrical wiring is all hanging that remains from the ceiling. The exterior walls have structure cracks through out the exterior walls. Did not find a permit for any of the work that is being done. Did meet with the owner and he signed the paperwork and went over the permits being required. Did do a posting of Stop Work Order on the front window and the Do Not Enter. The house was locked up when all was done. RV.
03/03/2020 INSP - FOLLOW UP CODE ENFORCE VIDAL Approved Did talk to the owner and the house is still locked up and no work has been done. Did ask to cover the hole on the roof and was advised that he could to the framing and place plastic but to not cover anything due to will need to be inspected. The owner has someone doing the drawings at this time. At this time the case will be closed. Violation Abated, Close Case. RV.
