12/18/2019 | INSP - INITIAL CODE ENFORCMENT | GOODMAN | Approved | VISITED SITE, MET WITH TPD WHO INFORMED ME THE SILVER JEEP GRAND CHEROKEE ENTERED THE UNIT OF #1102, DRIVER WAS NOT IMPAIRED, BUT HAD NO LICENSE AND IT WAS PURELY A ACCIDENT. WALKED WITH TFD THE UNIT THE CAR HAD ENTERED AND THEN CHECKED THE UNIT ABOVE FOR DAMAGES, THERE WAS NO DAMAGE TO THE 2ND FLOOR UNIT #2202. THERE WAS LITTLE IN THE ROOM DIRECTLY ABOVE WHERE THE CAR ENTERED AND THERE WAS NO GIVE IN THE FLOOR, NO CRACKS IN THE WALL. I DETERMINED THAT THE 2ND FLOOR UNIT WAS HABITABLE. RE ENTERED UNIT 1102, FOUND THE FOLLOWING: >BUILDING WAS COMPLETELY SHEARED WITH 1/2" PLYWOOD, CAR DAMAGED THE PLYWOOD SHEAR APPROX 8' X 8', DAMAGED OR DISPLACED 8 STUDS FROM THE BOTTOM PLATE. >INTERIOR DRYWALL APPROX 8FT X 12 FT WAS DAMAGED. >THE EXTERIOR SYSTEM WAS THIN COAT OF STUCCO OVER 1/2" EXTERIOR DRYWALL OVER THE 1/2' SHEAR WALL, NO BLACK PAPER VAPOR BARRIER. >ELECTRICAL WIRING TO 2 OUTLETS WAS STRETCHED BUT BREAKER REMAINED ON. >ELECTRICAL WAS ISOLATED TO THE BEDROOM > TFD CONTACTED TOWING AND CAR WAS REMOVED BY ROD ROBERTSON TOWING. >8FT X 8 FT HOLE WAS SECURED BY ARCADIAN. OCCUPANTS WERE NOT ALLOWED TO STAY IN THE UNIT. MANAGER HAD NO VACANT UNITS, SO TFD CONTACTED RE CROSS AND OCCUPANTS HOUSED BY RED CROSS. MANAGER STATED SHE COULD HAVE A UNIT READY TO OCCUPY WITHIN 7-10 DAYS. CODE ENFORCEMENT HAS NO FURTHER ISSUES. EMERGENCY ABATEMENT, ORDER TO VACATE WAS ISSUED AND SIGNED FOR BY THE MANAGER. POWER WAS ISOLATED TO THE UNIT, OCCUPANTS INFORMED THEY COULD COME AND GO DURING DAYTIME HRS, COULD NOT HANG OUT, AND WOULD NEED TO WORK WITH MANAGER INORDER TO OCCUPY ANOTHER UNIT ON SITE.
