12/07/2019 INSP - INITIAL CODE ENFORCMENT VIDAL Approved Comunication called that T.F.D. on site with a house fire at the dryer. Arrived and the units were still on site and checking for hot spots. The fire started in the dryer area in a storage room where the water heater and washer machine was located. The storage room, the kitchen, dinning room were fully involved in the fire and went into the living room. The drywall has fire damage in the those areas and the bedrooms and the bathrooms have heavy smoke damage through out. The windows in the rear room have broken from the fire and the rear door was forced open to gain entry. Drywall has been pulled down to check for fire in the rafters and found none. The room appears to have been a proch and than enclosed into a room. The kitchen cabinets are burned including the counter tops. Has tile and carpet for flooring and has water damage in the fire damaged area. Has a AC package unit on the roof and will need to have check for smoke damage. Some of the windows have cracked glass on the daul pane windows from the heat of the fire. The overhang on the rear of the house in several areas have some burning where the fire came out of the window areas from the fire. The owner was not able to come to the site and gave permission for the tenants to sign the paperwork. The owner also gave permission to have the City of Tucson contractor to have the property secured. Called Arcaiden Industries to the site to have the property secured. Did the posting of Do Not Enter on the front window. The owner will meet with the tenants to get the paperwork and work on getting another place for the tenants. The electrical and the gas were removed at the meters and will need to get a reconnect permit for both to have turned back on. No vent holes cut into the roof. Once the tenants were able to get some items from the house, everyone left the site. The house is secured at this time. RV.
12/09/2019 INSP - FOLLOW UP CODE ENFORCE VIDAL Approved The house is vacant and secured and will be closing the case due to the owner will be working with the insurance company and getting a contractor to do the work. Violation Abated, Close Case. RV.
