12/02/2019 INSP - INITIAL CODE ENFORCMENT VIDAL Approved The office called that T.F.D. on site with a house fire on the stove. Arrived and the units were on site but were cleaned up and ready to leave the site. Did meet with the fire captain and the fire was on a stove. The kitchen has heavy smoke damage on walls, ceilings, and the cabinets in the kitchen. The bedroom doors were closed and has little smoke damage including the bathroom. Did find hole made in the ceiling to check for fire in the attic area. The house is a rental and the tenant was not at home and came home and found the smoke in the house. The electrical is off at the breaker only and the gas was pinned and will call to have the gas turned back on with out an inspection. The owner was on site and signed the paperwork and was going to secure the house once the tenant removed the items from the house. Southwest gas found a control item that was leaking gas to the oven area. The house was posted Do Not Enter on the front window. While waiting for Southwest Gas, the Redcross showed to the property and gave assistance to the tenant. The owner has made contact with the insurance company and will be sending someone tomorrow to check the damage. Appears to have no structual damage at this time. RV.
12/03/2019 INSP - FOLLOW UP CODE ENFORCE VIDAL Approved The house is vacant and secured and the owner is working with the insurance company. At this time the case will be closed. Violation Abated, Close Case. RV.
