THE SHOP WAS CONVERTED FROM THE ORIGINAL GARAGE, OWNER STATED THE PLUMBER HE BOUGHT THE HOUSE FROM ALSO USED IT AS A SHOP, THE ELECTRICAL SYSTEM WHEN THE OWNER PURCHASED THE HOUSE WAS ORIGINAL WHEN HE PURCHASED HOUSE AROUND 2000. MY FINDINGS ARE AS FOLLOW: >TEP WAS CALLED TO CUT POWER, TURNED OFF THE POWER AT THE SERVICE PANEL AND PULLED BREAKERS TO THE SHOP. >S/W GAS STATED THERE WAS NO GAS TO THE PROPERTY, GAS STOPPED AT THE HOUSE SOUTH OF THIS PROPERTY. LINE TEST FOUND A POSSIBLE LEAK NEXT DOOR AND IS BEING DELT WITH BY S/W GAS CREW. > THERE WAS NO WATER TO THE SHOP >FIRE POSSIBLY STARTED AT OWNERS COMPUTER DESK PER TFD >STRUCTURE IS BLOCK EXTERIOR WALLS, DRYWALL DIRECTLY TO THE BLOCK AND STUCCO EXTERIOR. FOUND NO DAMAGE TO THE BLOCK >CONVENTIONAL FRAME ROOF SYSTEM, 2X6 BOTTOM CORD WITH 1/2" DRYWALL. DRYWALL STOPPED THE FIRE FROM GETTING INTO THE RAFTERS AND BOTTOM CORD. NO FIRE DAMAGE >CONTENTS OF THE SHOP WAS BASICALLY DIFFERENT TYPES OF CLOCKS, MANY BELONGED TO THE OWNER, OTHERS HE WAS WORKING ON AND THE OWNERS TOOLS. THEY WERE A TOTAL LOSS. >CONTENTS OF THE SHED DAMAGED ALL DRYWALL AND MOST OF THE ELECTRICAL SYSTEM. >FOUND SHED IN THE N/E CORNER OF THE YARD WAS SECURED BY A 6 FT BLOCK WALL ON 3 SIDES, THE NORTH WAS A 8FT FIRE WALL BUILT RIGHT UP TO THE NORTH WALL OF THE SHED. WALL WAS INCORPERATED INTO THE SHED WHEN WALGREENS NEEDED TO BUILD A 8FT FIRE WALL TO SEPERATE THE PROPERTIES. >POWER WAS LEFT OFF TO THE SHED >SHED SECURED BY 6 FT BLOCK WALL >FIELD NOV ISSUED TO THE OWNER TO MAKE ALL REPAIRS UNDER PERMIT. ASKED THAT ELECTRICAL BE UPGRADED ON THE PERMIT. NOV SIGNED FOR BY MR WALLIS. OWNER HAS INSURANCE, COMPANY WAS CONTACTED. |
