Electrical facilities connected to or in any building or structure are to be maintained hazard-free and in a state of good repair. The electrical system shall be free from such hazards as bare wiring; overloaded circuits or services; equipment not properly grounded; over-fused circuits; misuse of wiring, including the use of extension cords in lieu of permanent wiring; non-approved wiring; and wiring exposed to moisture or extreme heat. Broken, loose, frayed, inoperable, defective or missing portions of the electrical service, lines, switches, outlets, fixtures and fixture coverings shall be repaired or replaced. The accumulation or untended growth of vegetation means the presence of plants on property that create a fire, safety or health hazard, or that attract vermin either on the property, on neighboring properties, or on both, and includes but is not limited to: (1) Any lawn grass that exceeds 6 inches in height; (2) All weeds that exceed 6 inches in height; (3) Dead trees and dead shrubs; (4) Dead palm fronds within ten feet of the ground, a structure, a fence or wall, or of any combustible other than the tree from which the fronds have grown; (5) Any tree, shrub, or other form of vegetation of any kind on the property or on the adjoining right-of-way, street, or alley that extends over or under the sidewalk space or roadway in a manner that may interfere with the reasonable use of the street, sidewalk, or alley for pedestrian or vehicular traffic of any kind or that may obstruct the view or light distribution of traffic-control devices or luminaries. Vegetation must be trimmed and maintained to provide an unobstructed pedestrian path a minimum 48 inches in width and 80 inches in height from grade. |

MY FINDINGS ARE AS FOLLOWS: >FOUND MISSING COVER PLATES, AND SWITCH PLATES THROUGHOUT THE STRUCTURE. >LIGHT FIXTURES THRU OUT NOT COMPLETED >NO WORKING SMOKE DETECTORS. >S/E BDRM CLOSET HAD THE ORIGINAL FUSE BOX WITH THE INTERNAL PARTS REMOVED AND THE WIRES HARD WIRED TO THE NEW 200 AMP SERVICE UPGRADE. WIRES WERE FRAYED AND WIRE NUTS LOOSE- NO ELECTRICAL TAPE TO SECURE THEM >CARPORT WAS BEING LIVED IN EXTENSION CORD WERE BULLED THRU OUT TO POWER THE COOLER, HEATER, SMALL REFRIGERATOR, STEREO, LIGHTS, FANS, AND COMPUTER. >PROPANE TANK COOK STOVE ACTING AS HEATER UNDER THE CARPORT. >CARPORT HAD TARPS PULLED TO ACT AS COVERING FOR WALLS AND CEILING. NEED TO BE REMOVED. >EXTERIOR FENCING MADE UP FROM PALLETS. >TRASH, DEBRIS,APPLIANCES, THROUGHOUT THE REAR YARD. TRAILER FILLER WITH DEBRIS IN THE REAR YARD. CUT ELECTRICAL AT THE POLE AND REMOVED THE METER. TPD REQUESTED THE HOUSE BE SECURED DUE TO OCCUPANT TERRORIZING THE NEIGHBORHOOD. HOUSE WAS SECURED BY ARCADIAN, 8 WINDOWS AND 2 DOORS. OWNER WANTED TO KNOW WHAT HAD TO BE DONE, I EXPLAINED THAT I WOULD APPRECIATE IF THEY REMOVED ALL TRASH AND DEBRIS THROUGHOUT THE PROPERTY AND REMOVE THE CARPORT LIVING AREA AS WELL BEFORE MOVING TO THE INSIDE OF THE HOUSE. AFTER MUCH CONVERSATION THE OWNERS AGREED TO PROVIDE A 40 YD DUMPSTER AND OCCUPANTS SON WOULD GET HELP AND CLEAN THE PROPERTY. I EXPLAINED THAT NO ONE WAS TO ENTER THE STRUCTURE, THE SON STATED THERE WERE SOME THINGS THAT NEED TO BE REMOVED AND THAT HE WOULD BE RESPONSIBLE FOR THE STRUCTURE STAYING SECURED. C/E HAS NO FURTHER ISSUES. OWNERS DID CALL FOR A DUMPSTER AND WILL BE DELIVERED 11/18/19. COMPLIANCE / CLOSE CASE. |
