WALKED FROM UNIT 11 WHERE FLOOD ORIGINATED TO UNIT 5 DIRECTLY BELOW, FOUND UNIT WITH QUITE A BIT OF WATER FROM THE DAMAGED HOTWATER HEATER ABOVE. THE WATER CAME THRU THE WALLS ABOVE DOWN TO THE BOTTOM FLOOR. FOUND WATER IN THE KITCHEN, LIVINGROOM, HALLWAY AND ONE BEDROOM CLOSEST TO THE KITCHEN. MAINTANENCE HAD ALREADY CALLED WATER EXTRACTION COMPANY, TENANT WAS PLACED IN THE CORPORATE UNIT, WILL STAY IN HER UNIT UNTIL KIDS GET UP FOR SCHOOL, ALL BECAUSE THE ELECTRICAL SUB PANEL IN THE UNIT WAS TURNED OFF. ELECTRICAL WILL REMAIN OF AND MAINTANENCE WILL HEIP TENANT MOVE NEEDED BELONGINGS UNTIL THE WATER IS REMOVED AND CARPET CLEANED. MAINTANECE WILL THEN ALLOW OCCUPANTS TO RETURN. WATER HEATER IN ABOVE UNIT HAS BEEN REPLACED. TENNANT ASKED TO REMAIN IN UNIT UNTIL SHE COULD GET KIDS UP AND TO SCHOOL. THEY WILL THEN MOVE BELONGINGS. WATER EXTRACTION WILL BEGIN IN UNIT 11 AND THEN UNIT 6. MAINTANENCE HAS THE SITUATION UNDER CONTROL AND PEOPLE IN UNIT 5 HOUSED. EXTRACTION ON THE WAY AND HOTWATER HEATER IN UNIT 11 BEING REPLACED. NOV WILL NOT BE ISSUED DUE TO ALL WORK IS IN PROGRESS AT THE TIME OF MY ARRIVAL. C/E HAS NO FURTHER ISSUES. WILL FOLLOW UP.
11/06/2019 INSP - FOLLOW UP CODE ENFORCE GOODMAN Approved SPOKE WITH MAINTANENCE, ALL WATER WAS REMOVED, ELECTRICAL FIXTURES ALLOWED TO DRY OUT AS REQUESTED AND ELECTRICAL RESTORED TO THE UNIT. TENANT WAS ALLOWED TO MOVE BACK IN THIS AM, MID MORNING. COMPLIANCE / CLOSE CASE.
