State owner of the property is in jail and will be there for some time. Homeless people have now entered the dwelling and are living there, without any electricity or water. Check water with office it has been shut off since September 20th. The aunt showed me to the property where we checked front door back door and all windows, one window was open. Knocked on all the doors and windows and did not get any response. Called supervisor to get the okay to board up one window. While board up crew was on site a lady yelled out from the interior stating she was the wife of the owner who was in jail and wanted to know what I was doing. While talking through the window I asked the resident Melissa to come out several times however she refused ask her about the water she states she does not have water or electricity I explain to her that that is a code violation and she could not be living there. Melissa said she would be right out to speak with me. 5 minutes went by started knocking on the doors and windows again and no answer from Melissa. board up crew secured the one window on the east side of the property. Both Ryan and I knocked again on all doors and windows and no one answered. Tpd was called, after about 30 minutes they showed up and broke through the front door and checked the interior for any one staying in this dwelling. No one was found all rooms were cleared. Board up now consisted of 1 doggie door at the rear pinned door in the rear. Front door was boarded with plywood. Nov abatement order and postings all on property. Aunt was all so advised of all the actions code enforcement took today |
