07/11/2019 INSP - INITIAL CODE ENFORCMENT GOODMAN Approved VISITED SITE, OFF SITE PSYCH WARD FOR TMC- EL DORADO. MET WITH TFD CAPTAIN, CALL WAS FOR A FLOOD ON THE 3RD FLOOR CAUSED BY A BROKEN WATER VALVE IN ONE OF THE SHOWERS. DID FIND THE COLD WATER SHOWER VALVE HAD BEEN BROKEN OFF, THE ROOM IN WHICH THE VALVE WAS BROKEN DID HAVE ABOUT AN INCH OF WATER PER TFD. WATER HAD BEEN TURNED OFF BY BEN MENDEZ, ON SITE MAINTANENCE. ALSO HEAD MAINTANENECE PERSON CHUCK PEARSEN WAS CALLED OUT AND ON SITE. ALL PERSONS ON THE 3RD FLOOR HAD ALREADY BEEN PLACED IN OTHER ROOMS.WATER ON THE 3RD FLOOR WAS BEING REMOVED BY VACCUM AND FLOORS THEN MOPPED UP, THERE WAS VERY LITTLE WATER LEFT IN THE ROOMS AND FLOORS WERE BEING DRIED BY MOP UP. THERE WAS NO ELECTRICAL AFFECTED. WALKED 2ND FLOOR, FOUND WATER DAMAGE TO THE DROPPED ACOUSTICAL CEILING AND MINOR AMOUNTS OF WATER IN SOME OF THE FLOURECENT LIGHT FIXTURE COVERS. THE 2ND FLOOR HAS BEEN VACATED FOR SEVERAL YEARS, AND FLOOR NOT BEING USED FOR THE ENTIRE TIME. WATER ALSO BEING VACCUMED UP ON THE 2ND FLOOR. 1 ST FLOOR PRETTY MUCH THE SAME AS FIRST. THERE WILL BE NO ENFORCEMENT AT THIS TIME AS THE MAJOR CONCERN WAS ELECTRICAL, 3RD FLOOR HAD NO ELECTRICAL ISSUES, 2ND FLOOR WAS NOT BEING USED AND LOCKED OUT, AND 1ST FLOOR HAD MINIMAL WATER DAMAGE. I INFORMED CHUCK PEARSON THAT REMOVING LIGHT COVERS WOULD BE BEST FOR THE FIXTURES AND ALLOWING 24 HRS FOR ELECTRICAL TO DRY OUT OR NON USE WOULD BE BEST FOR THE ELECTRICAL AS ALL ELECTRICAL IS IN CONDUIT. AND THEN REPLACING WATER DAMAGED ACOUSTICAL PANELS. COMPLIANCE / CLOSE CASE
