METAL SIDE DOOR WHICH IS THE ENTRANCE FOR CARBON MONOXIDE HOSES AND TANKS WAS ALSO DAMAGED TO INCLUDE ITS FRAME AND SURROUNDING STRUCTURAL COMPONANTS. POSSIBLE EXPOSED ELECTRICAL WIRING. BOXED FOOD AND SUPPLIES WERE IN THE IMMEDIATE AREA OF THE DAMAGE AND ETERIOR BOXES WER CONTAMINATED WITH PARTICLES FROM THE BUILDING STRUCTURE. DUE TO DAMAGE BEING SO CLOSE TO THE CARBON MONOXIDE TANKS AND HOSES, INSPECTOR NOTIFIED SUPERVISOR AND SENT PICTURES VIA PHONE MSG. SUPER MR APPROVED SENIOR INSP RVIDAL TO ASSESS. RVIDAL FOUND THAT WIRING WAS NOT A HAZARD DUE TO NO VOLTAGE RUNNING THROUGH. RVIDAL FOUND THAT THE CARB MONOXIDE DETECTOR HAD NOT SOUNDED AND TANKS AND HOSES WERE CONFIRMED TO BE IN TACT. RVIDAL CONFIRMED THAT STRUCTURE WAS SAFE TO REMOVE METAL DOOR TO TEMP BOARD UP AND SECURE ENTRY WAY, UNTIL LICENSED CONTRACTOR REPAIRED. INSPECTOR BERMUDEZ ISSUED A 30 DAY NOV TO HAVE A LICENSED CONTRACTOR OBTAIN PROPER PERMITS FOR STRUCTURAL DAMAGE. WILL NEED FULL SET OF STRUCTRUAL PLANS. WILL FOLLOW UP IN 30 DAYS. |

Unless otherwise exempt pursuant to section 301 of the Administrative Code, as adopted by reference per section 6-1 of this Code, or pursuant to any other ordinance or statute, no building, structure or building service equipment regulated by this chapter or by the technical codes adopted by the city shall be built, erected, constructed, enlarged, altered, repaired, moved, improved, removed, converted or demolished unless a permit first has been obtained from the building official in the manner provided in the administrative and building codes adopted by the city. The purpose of a permit is to ensure that all construction is inspected by qualified City of Tucson personnel as directed by ordinance to verify compliance with city codes. Failure to obtain proper permit with inspections and approvals shall deem the construction to be unsafe. |
