06/15/2019 INSP - INITIAL CODE ENFORCMENT GOODMAN Approved VISITED SITE, MET WITH TPD/ CSO, FOUND A WHITE CADILLAC OWNED BY ONE OF THE EMPLOYEES THAT WAS PARKED IN THE PARKING AREA WAS HIT FROM BEHIND BY A SILVER SUV AND CADILLAC PUSHED INTO THE BUILDING. THE AREA DAMAGED WAS AT THE N/W PORTION OF THE STRUCTURE, OR IN THE STORE ROOM, THE WEST WALL WAS DAMAGED. MY FINDINGS ARE AS FOLLOWS: >WALL WAS BUILT STARTING WITH A 24" CMU BLOCK PORTION OF WALL. > WALL WAS THEN METAL FRAME STUDS 16" ON CENTER, A BLACK FIBER BOARD AND FOAM AND STUCCO OVER THE FIBER BOARD. >INTERIOR WAS 5/8" DRYWALL. A 10 FT X 7FT SECTION OF THE BLOCK/ FRAME STUCCO AND INTERIOR DRYWALL WAS DAMAGE. BLOCK DAMAGED, AND BOTTOM TRACK AND APPROX 6 METAL STUDS WERE DAMAGED. THERE WAS NO ELECTRICAL IN THIS AREA OF THE STORAGE ROOM. BOARD UP SECURED THE 8FT X 4FT AND 6FT X 2 FT SECTION OF DAMAGED WALL. NOV WAS ISSUED TO AUTO ZONE/ ATTN: SIERRA INDUSTRIAL PARK FOR PERMITS REQUIRED. POLICE CALLED GARY'S TOWING FOR THE OWNER OF THE SILVER SUVAND HAD CAR TOWED TO HOUSE NEARBY. WHITE CADILLAC OWNER HAD THEIR VEHICLE TOWED BY AAA.

06/17/2019 T.C. Ch. 16, Sec. 16-4. PERMITS REQUIRED. Unless otherwise exempt pursuant to section 301 of the Administrative Code, as adopted by reference per section 6-1 of this Code, or pursuant to any other ordinance or statute, no building, structure or building service equipment regulated by this chapter or by the technical codes adopted by the city shall be built, erected, constructed, enlarged, altered, repaired, moved, improved, removed, converted or demolished unless a permit first has been obtained from the building official in the manner provided in the administrative and building codes adopted by the city. The purpose of a permit is to ensure that all construction is inspected by qualified City of Tucson personnel as directed by ordinance to verify compliance with city codes. Failure to obtain proper permit with inspections and approvals shall deem the construction to be unsafe.
