11/05/2018 INSP - INITIAL CODE ENFORCMENT MORALES Approved ON SITE, SPOKE TO OWNER. HE STATED PARKTUCSON WAS OUT THERE LAST TUESDAY AND TPD WAS OUT LAST THURSDAY. PARKTUCSON CITED ONE OF THE VEHICLES FOR OBSTRUCTING THE SIDEWALK AREA. I SPOKE TO PARKTUCSON SUPERVISOR ON THE PHONE AND HE STATED VEHICLES CANNOT BE PARKED ON PAVED SIDEWALK AREAS AND THE DIRT AREA BETWEEN THE PAVED SIDEWALK AND CURB. THEY CAN BE PARKED BETWEEN THE PROPERTY LINE AND PAVED SIDEWALK AREA. IF THE SIDEWALK AREA IS NOT PAVED VEHICLES CAN BE PARKED THERE BUT MUST LEAVE A 4FT PATH BETWEEN THE CURB AND VEHICLE FOR PATHWAY INFORM THE OWNER TO LEAVE A 5FT AREA BETWEEN CURB AND PROPERTY SO THERE WILL BE NO QUESTION ABOUT OBSTRUCTING THE PATHWAY. Sec. 20-260. Stopping, standing, parking prohibited between the curb and sidewalk or in an unimproved pedestrian area impeding continuous pedestrian use. It shall be unlawful to stop, stand or park a vehicle, whether posted or not, in that area between the curb and a sidewalk or in an unimproved pedestrian area such that it impedes continuous pedestrian use. Impeding continuous pedestrian use is determined when the stopping, standing, or parking of a vehicle leaves less than four (4) foot wide unimproved pedestrian area. Provided, unless the area is posted with "no-parking" signs, it shall not be unlawful to stop, stand, or park a vehicle in an unimproved pedestrian area adjacent to roadways less than or equal to twenty-six (26) feet wide.
