10/09/2018 INSP - INITIAL CODE ENFORCMENT GOODMAN Approved VISITED SITE, VIOLATON REPORT STATED THE VIOLATON WAS IN THE REAR OF THE PROPERTY INSIDE THE GATED AREA. INSPECTION FOUND THE REAR YARD OF THIS PROPERTY HAS A 8 FT SLATTED CHAIN LINK FENCE WITH RAZOR WIRE ON TOP. THE REAR YARD AREA IS DIFFICULT TO SEE INTO. I WAS INFORMED A 2ND CALL WAS MADE ON THE FRONT GATED PORTION OF THE PROPERTY. MY INSPECTION FOUND THE FRONT PORION OF THE PROPERTY DOES HAVE A TEMP FENCE AROUND THE NORTH AND EAST SIDES OF PROPERTY (COMPLETELY ENCLOSING THE FRONT) WHERE OWNERS CONTINUALLY HAVE HOMELESS VISITING THE SITE, LEAVING TRASH AND DEBRIS AND MOVING ON. IT APPEARS THAT HOMELESS ARE GETTING INSIDE THE TEMP FENCED AREA. CONTACTED THE THE OWNERS OF STONE AND IVY, SPOKE WITH HEATHER WHO INFOMED ME THAT A TEMP FENCE WAS INSTALLED AS THEY ARE GETTING READY TO TURN THAT INTO A EVENT CENTER. BECAUSE I HAVE WORKED WITH HEATHER BEFORE AND DEBRIS REMOVED IN A TIMELY MANNER, I ASKED SHE AGAIN REMOVE DEBRIS AND INFORM ME WHEN CLEAN UP IS COMPLETED. HEATHER STATED SHE WOULD GET CLEAN UP CREW OUT ASAP. HEATHER ALSO ASKED WHAT A SOLUTION FOR THE PROBLEM WOULD BE AND I INFORMED HER THAT A PERMANENT FENCE IS THE ONLY ANSWER. SHE DID NOT KNOW IF THEAT WOULD BE INCLUDED IN THE NEW EVENT CENTER.
10/17/2018 INSP - FOLLOW UP CODE ENFORCE GOODMAN Approved REVISITED SITE, DID FIND DEBRIS REMOVED, SPOKE TO OWNER WHO EXPLAINED BUILDING IS TO BE REMODELED AND MADE INTO A EVENT CENTER. PLANS ARE IN THE REVIEW PROCESS, RECENTLY MET WITH ZONING. I ASKED OWNER TO CONTINUE CLEAN UP PERIODICALLY AS THE COMPLAINTS WILL CONTINUE TO TO THE HISTORY OF HOMEELESS ACTIVITY.
