09/10/2018 T.C. Ch. 16, Sec. 16-4. PERMITS REQUIRED. Unless otherwise exempt pursuant to section 301 of the Administrative Code, as adopted by reference per section 6-1 of this Code, or pursuant to any other ordinance or statute, no building, structure or building service equipment regulated by this chapter or by the technical codes adopted by the city shall be built, erected, constructed, enlarged, altered, repaired, moved, improved, removed, converted or demolished unless a permit first has been obtained from the building official in the manner provided in the administrative and building codes adopted by the city. The purpose of a permit is to ensure that all construction is inspected by qualified City of Tucson personnel as directed by ordinance to verify compliance with city codes. Failure to obtain proper permit with inspections and approvals shall deem the construction to be unsafe.

09/10/2018 INSP - INITIAL CODE ENFORCMENT LOPEZ Approved Was called out by supervisor to assist TFD , when I arrived fire was still going, about 113 units were shut down from electrical and gas. After further inspection I did isolated laundry room, and turned the power back on to all of the other units. Southwest Gas pull the meter and will not be able to turn gas back on for the 113 units till ACC contact's owner’s that everything has been pressure tested and give southwest gas clearance to reconnect, maybe about 72 hours before gas is turned on, management will be notifying tenants and assisting them with electrical skillets if needed. Will be issuing notice to Management and posting laundry room unfit to occupy due to fire. { this laundry room will be a total loss, mechanical, electrical,rafters, windows,doors , ceiling, and walls ). and 113 unit out of gas.
