08/15/2018 INSP - INITIAL CODE ENFORCMENT HOLLANDER Approved Fire call out. Arrived on scene and met with TFD. TFD secured gas and electric. TEP removed the meter and cut the service drop. Southwest Gas replaced the meter that was damaged due to the fire. Gas lines were pressure tested, but left off and secured. The meter had been located inside the fire area. My findings are as follow: " The electric service showed severe wire damage not apparent from the fire, but hazardous. There were numerous electrical hazards at the service. " The exterior of the structure at the rear was the area of the fire. The roof sheathing, the rafter tails and the bird boards were damaged by the fire. " The interior ceiling plaster at the back wall of the kitchen was removed for the fire to verify further extent. The ceiling received moderate smoke damage. " Two smoke alarms were present, but not working. The bedrooms were missing smoke alarms. " I met with the owner and issued NOV's for permits and emergency abatement. " Owner took responsibility for the board-up and signed the indemnification form. " Unit was posted unsafe to occupy. " TFD Called Red Cross.
