| 08/10/2018 | INSP - INITIAL CODE ENFORCMENT | VIDAL | Approved | Communication called the T.F.D. on site with a house fire. Arrived and the units were still on site and were watching for hot spots. They started to clean up. The fire investigators were getting on site. Was having trouble with the neighboring properties due to the power was removed during the fire. T.E.P. was on site and working on getting the power back on to the neighboring properties. The gas was removed at the meter due to the amount of fire damage, the electrical was removed at the pole due to the tri-plex on on the ground due to was burned in the fire. The water off at the valve due to water was leaking in the house. The fire extended into the attic and the 3-bedrooms and the hallway burned. The rafters with the 1x sheathing has charring on the west end of the house. The other portion of the attic have heavy smoke damage. The interior of the house has heavy smoke damage through out. The roof has holes in the roof in several areas to check for smoke. The windows on the rear and west side all have been burned out or broken. Drywall has been pulled down or has holes checking for fire. Alot of the drywall has been burned. The owner gave permission for the house to be secured and called Arcaiden Industries to have the house secured. While securing the house, had to call back the fire units due to smoke in the house. Still had the house opened and no other damage done. RV. |
| 08/10/2018 | INSP - INITIAL CODE ENFORCMENT | HOLLANDER | Approved | CAlled out to determine electrical hazards related to the solar panels. It appears that part of the conduit raceway passed thru the fire area above the roof. These damaged conductors could be energizeing the conduit raceway when daylight is present. This is voltage produced by the PV panels. The junction box was not accessable so the first coupling was seperated and the conductors cut and caped before the damaged area. The rest of the PV system damaged due to the fire. A lock was put on the first A/C disconnect. The PV disconnect was in the off position. |
