Drywall was pulled off the wall and found no fire. The electrical and the plumbing was exposed in the wood frame wall. There was a duct vent in the wall and that got some damage when removing the drywall. The unit is OK and has smoke in the unit. The owner of the unit was going to leave the windows and door open to vent the smell of the smoke out. The skylight on the roof near the kitchen area has been broken due to venting the unit for the smoke during the fire. There was no water damage. The electrical was turned back on and everything was working. The owner was served a N.O.V., Indemnification and the N.O.V. to Vacate due to the cleaning of the unit needing to be done and the smell of the smoke. The owner had a place to stay at this time and will call his insurance in the morning. No posting of Do Not Enter due to the owner will be able to stay in the unit once cleaned up and the skylight replaced. Will meet the owner in the morning to give a Copy of the N.O.V. due his copy did not come out. RV. |
