My findings are as follow: >The electric switches in the room were melted or heat damaged. TFD determined this was the cause of the fire. The owner had an interior security video from the kitchen looking into the converted garage showing the fire starting. >The interior of the structure at the front in the converted garage was the area of the fire. The wall and carpet were damaged by the fire. The front rear bedroom window was broken. The rest of the structure was ok. >The interior ceiling plaster at the converted garage was removed for the fire to verify further extent. The ceilings throughout the house received moderate smoke damage. >Smoke alarms were present. >Owner was notified of the PV system. >I met with the owner and issued NOV's for permits and emergency abatement. >Owner took responsibility for the board-up and signed the indemnification form. >Unit was posted unsafe to occupy. >TFD Called Red Cross. |
