The fire investigators were on site checking for the cause. The fire was in hall marked as Fellowship Hall. The fire was in the northeast section of the hall by the door where a candle stand was located. The main structure is OK and only damage was to the contents where the candles were. The table is a total lost that was used for the candles. The fire did some burning on a wood beam used as a Purlin beam for the roof system. Has some charring on the bottom portion from the floor to about 8' up the beam. A hole was made in the plaster wall to check for fire in the wall space. Has smoke damage through out the hall and heavy smoke damager by the table area only. There is an exit light and a conduit at the roof line that will need to be check for heat damage to the fixture or the wiring. The hall will be able to be used once the area is cleaned up. The pastor was on site and she signed the paperwork and locked the area up with the maintenance supervisor. RV. |
