02/08/2018 | INSP - INITIAL CODE ENFORCMENT | VINDIOLA | Approved | 02/08/18 - Arrived on site along with the manager of the coomplex. Sagging sheetrock in ceiling of both bathroom area and washroom area. Checked and both ceilings are dry, however show signs of sagging. Exhaust fan in restroom is operational at this point. Inquired about the claim of leaks in the apartment, she stated she did not have any leaks she was concerned about what was going on with the water being shut off yesterday. Manager was in on the inspection and explain to her that a 24-hour notice was given to the complete apartment complex about water issues that they were having in the water would be shut down. Water was reestablished about 10 p.m. yesterday and manager stayed until it was turned back on. Check bathroom washroom and water was operational also inquired and she said yes toilets and all sinks are operational. Tenant Jamie is concerned that there might be mold issues behind the sagging sheetrock and she wanted to have that tested before anything is moved in regards to the ceiling. Manager did offer another unit for them to live in while repairs were done to the ceiling. Tenant Jamie again refused anything at this point until she had that ceiling tested. I told her that I did not have a case if she did not want to move forward so I would be closing out this case she would intern hire somebody for the claim of mold and then share the results with the manager and actions from there would be between tenant and manager. Checked both pools with the manager and the maintenance man and did not see any bees or beehive. Will get with supervision on this case |
