Arrived and he units still on site and ID waiting to check if the structure OK to enter to take the pictures. Did check the site and was OK to take the pictures of the accident. A truck from Ashton Construction hit the northeast corner of the house of a masonry walls. Knocked the french doors down and damaged approx. 35 l.f. x 8' high of the block by knocking it down or moving the wall or cracks. Did have a outlet in the wall and it was remove and the wires taped. The owner gave permission to have the property secured due to not able to secure the opening made from the impact. Called Arcaiden Industries to have the area secured. The truck was pulled out by Gary's towing and towed to the yard. The owners signed the paperwork and left the site. Once the truck was moved, observed that the gas line was hit and bent and Southwest Gas was called to the site to check for leaks. The gas was pinned at the meter due to not holding pressure. At that time the property was condemned due lacking gas leaving no heat and the damage to the house. The insurance has been called about the accident and will be calling the owners. |
