12/10/2017 INSP - INITIAL CODE ENFORCMENT VIDAL Approved Communication called that T.F.D. on site with a house fire. Arrived and all the units have left the site. Did meet with the captain and had a call for the smoke detectors going off. The smoke detectors were removed and the batteries removed due to they were chirrping. When the units arrived and they were going off. The front door was forced opened on the metal security door and the wooden door was forced opened and brokened at the door lock area. The house was vacant and was secured. Did find phone number to call and made contact with the sister of the owner and the owner did call. The smoke detectors have been going off for at least a month and a half and the sister was not able to reach the smoke detectors to make the repairs or change batteries. The electrical was off at the main breaker and the sister has it off due to being vacant. The gas meter was turned off by T.F.D. and called S.W.G. and they will need someone on site to respond to have the gas turned back on. Will the owner know when called tomorrow. The owner of the property lives in Seattle Washington and the sister lives in Phoenix Arizona. The sister will be in town on Friday to meet with the Historic section to review work that was going to be done on the property on the roof. The metal security door was screwed shut at this time. Will talk to the sister in the morning for phone number to check on who called in the fire call. RV.
02/13/2018 INSP - FOLLOW UP CODE ENFORCE VIDAL Approved The unit has been repaired and is for sale. The permit has been issued, T17CM08780 on 1-3-18 and finaled on 1-19-18. At this time the case will be closed. Violation Abated, Close Case. RV.
