10/09/2017 INSP - INITIAL CODE ENFORCMENT VIDAL Approved Laurie text that T.P.D. on site with unsafe electrical. Arrived and the units have cleared the site and found the tenant inside. The tenant did allow and inspection on site and found a new water line installed from the street water meter to the units in the rear of the property with new private water meters. The water line is in the parking lot and found no permits or the tracer wire for the new water line. The front door is not sealed and loose, open grounds with 3-prong outlets on a 2-wire system, lacking smoke detectors, no water, no gas, no heat, no cooling and currently has a AC window unit in the living room area, casement windows are lacking the cranks, lacking cover plates, no hot water, lacking the traps to the sinks, trash and debris, holes in the walls, rats, and other issues. Did call the supervisor Martin Romero and approved the unit being condemned for issues stated. The tenant was going to try and get the water on but decided to look for another unit. Did do the posting of Do Not Enter on the front window and the tenant signed the paperwork and will secure the unit. There is a carport that is trying to be a room and has unsae electrical on the ceiling for a fan and box which appears to be for lighting. Has exposed wiring through out on light switches and boxes for junction or outlets. Did the Notice to Vacate the unit and will send an N.O.V. to the owner of the property. Did try to call her several time with no answer and did leave messages to call back. RV.
03/26/2018 INSP - FOLLOW UP CODE ENFORCE VIDAL Approved The property is vacant and secured. The items of the tenants have been removed from the property. Does have workers on site and have been cleaning the property. Does have a RV parked on the side and in the process of putting plywood over the windows. At this time the case will be closed. Violation Abated, Close Case. RV.
