09/21/2017 INSP - INITIAL CODE ENFORCMENT VIDAL Approved Commincation called that T.P.D. on site with living conditions. Arrived and the units still on site and has a house with 5-people living in the house and rooms were being rented out. The interior of the house has extension cords being used through out and has surge protectors added to extension cords with other extension cords added. The cooler on the roof is not working and have added a cooler to the rear of the house through the window. The furnace has been removed from the floor and has no heating to the house. The windows are hard to open and some are stuck in place and the glass in some are not to the window frames which are wood. Lacking smoke detectors, using hot places in several areas, the wood floor has holes and soft spots through out the house. Have no clear paths to door and windows and the front room is filled with storage. While walking in the house some of the extension cords were arcing due to bad connection or the surge protectors were burned out on the outlet portions. The property was condemned and the electrical was cut at the pole with the meter removed. The gas meter was pinned due to not using the gas due to not required. The tenant signed the paperwork and stated that he is related to the owner. Did the posting of Do Not Enter on the front and rear of the house. There is storage by the electrical panel that will need to be moved for access to the main panel and storage on the north side of the house. RV.
