Unless otherwise exempt pursuant to section 301 of the Administrative Code, as adopted by reference per section 6-1 of this Code, or pursuant to any other ordinance or statute, no building, structure or building service equipment regulated by this chapter or by the technical codes adopted by the city shall be built, erected, constructed, enlarged, altered, repaired, moved, improved, removed, converted or demolished unless a permit first has been obtained from the building official in the manner provided in the administrative and building codes adopted by the city. The purpose of a permit is to ensure that all construction is inspected by qualified City of Tucson personnel as directed by ordinance to verify compliance with city codes. Failure to obtain proper permit with inspections and approvals shall deem the construction to be unsafe.

09/06/2017 INSP - INITIAL CODE ENFORCMENT VINDIOLA Approved Arrived on site and met with tpd officers in regards to a car hitting the rear structure which turns out to be the pool house, this instance happened yesterday on 09/05/2017. Structure is a block construction pool house approximately 40 ft by 20 ft. Structure was hit at the southeast corner with visible damage to the South and east facing walls. Eastside wall is out of plumb, and several large cracks all along this wall, 2 Doors on this side unable to open either one of them because of the damage. Electrical panel also on east side wall did not sustain any damage to the panel however panel is still hot. Will move to pull meter through tep as it is uncertain if any damage was done to the interior, however exposed wiring into the building were energized. Owner and property manager were both notified of The Cutting of the power manager or owner were not on site will mail notice of violation. Will also post do not enter signs on Eastside of structure
12/06/2017 INSP - FOLLOW UP CODE ENFORCE VINDIOLA Approved Arrived on site to find no action to repair issue. Did see bracing that was added. Owners know about permits needed before any work begins, so at this point will move to close out this case
