06/16/2017 INSP - INITIAL CODE ENFORCMENT GOODMAN Approved VISITED SITE, FOUND PROPERTY REMAINS SECURED SINCE A FIRE IN 2014. FOUR BIFF BAKER FENCE PANELS SECURE THE FRONT OF THE PROPERTY, 2 EACH SIDE CLOSING OFF THE ENTRANCE AND EXIT. CONTACTED THE NEW OWNER, SPANISH SPEAKING ONLY, DAUGHTER INTERPRETED FOR HER. I ASKED IF THEY OWNED THE COMPLETE PROPERTY. SHE STATED THEY OWNED ONLY THE EAST HALF. I ASKED IF THEY REQUIRED THE FENCING AND SHE SAID NO. I INFORMED THEM THAT IF THE FENCING WAS REMOVED AND ANY MORE PROBLEMS OCCURRED THRU TPD OR TFD THAT THE OWNERS WOULD BE REQUIRED TO SECURE THE PROPERTY AND IF UNABLE TO BE REACHED THE CITY WOULD SECURE THE PROPERTY. I ALSO INFORMED HER THEY WOULD NEED TO KEEP ALL UNITS SECURED AT ALL TIMES AND THAT THE PROPERTY WOULD NEED TO BE KEPT CLEAN, GRASS AND WEEDS CUT, TRASH AND DEBRIS PICKED UP. THEY STATED THEY UNDERSTOOD. I CONTACTED BIFF BAKER TO REMOVE THE FENCE. WEST SIDE OF PROPERTY IS NOW SECURED BY BOARD UP ONLY AND ANYBODY CAN ENTER THE PROPERTY. I CONTACTED TPD OFFICER PRESTON HOULD AND INFORMED HIM OF THE PROBLEM PROPERTY AND ASKED HE STOP IN PERIODICALLY. SPOKE TO RICK SALDATE INFORMED HIM OF THE SITUATION MENTIONED ABOVE, INFORMED HIM I EXPECT FUTURE PROBLEMS BECAUSE OF ALL THE ISSUES C/E, TFD, AND TPD HAD ON THE PROPERTY. RICK ASKED I REINSPECT THE PROPERTY ONCE THE FENCE IS REMOVED TO GET A BETTER UNDERSTANDING OF WHAT NEEDS TO BE DONE AND IF NOV'S WILL BE REQUIRED. RICK ASKED I CONDUCT MAYBE TWO FOLLOW UP INSPECTIONS BEFORE CLOSING THE CASE.
