05/15/2017 INSP - INITIAL CODE ENFORCMENT VIDAL Approved Received call from office that T.F.D. on site with a building fire. Arrived and all the units have cleared the site and met with the son of the owner. Had a fire on one of the machines in the building in the rear of the property. A containment box to catch the dust from grinding caught fire. The wood box was remove to the exterior of the building and some of the dust on the floor caught fire. The floor was soaked with water and had a mud covering the floor. There was no damage to the structure or the equipment. The machine was in front of a electrical panel leaving no access to the panel to work on it if required. The owner will move the machine to another location and leave access to the panel. The wood box will be replaced with a metal box. Did request that the area be cleaned and will check in 10 days. RV.
06/07/2017 INSP - FOLLOW UP CODE ENFORCE VIDAL Approved The area has been cleaned and the machine from the fire has been removed to the exterior of the building and currently not being used at this time. The electrical panel has the proper clearance and not being blocked at this time. At this time the case will be closed. Violation Abated, Close Case. RV.
