05/13/2017 INSP - INITIAL CODE ENFORCMENT VIDAL Approved Received a call from communication and T.F.D. on site with a fire on the apartment unit. Arrived and the fire unit was still on site and the unit was full of storage and was hard to walk in the unit. The fire was at the range hood and burned the cabinets, drywall around the range hood. The unit has heavy smoke damage and the fire units had a hard time getting into the unit due to the amount of storage in the unit. The kitchen, bathroom and the living area is all filled approx. 5' high. The electrical is being remove at the meter due to the amount of damage and not being able to walk around the unit. The manager was on site and let her know that the unit is being condemnded due to hoarding and the fire damage. The manager signed the paperwork and was changing the lock. The manager did talk to the tenant to let him know that the unit is condemned and he needs to find another place to stay. The tenant secured the unit at the broken window and than gave the key to the door to the manager. The management will look at cleaning the unit and keeping it secured. Will check in 45 days. RV.
07/17/2017 INSP - FOLLOW UP CODE ENFORCE VIDAL Approved The office was closed and the unit was vacant and secured. Appears that the work is done and rent ready. The permit T17CM04490 has been issued on 6-9-17 and the last inspection was on 7-3-17. The permit is only lacking the final for the permit to be finaled. At this time the case will be closed. Violation Abated, Close Case. RV.
