03/15/2017 INSP - INITIAL CODE ENFORCMENT VIDAL Approved Met with the tenant room mate and look at an stove and oven. The light in the over was flickering and move the oven and stove around and all the electrical connection were OK at the outlet. While moving the stove around, the light in the oven was going off at times. Did find where the switch to the light in the over was not getting a good connection due to the over door was not closing properly. The over door was partially opened and not sealed when closed. The door was moving around to the oven and the light would go off and on at times and showed the room mate what was happening. Did check the outlets around the area and all checked OK. Checked the electrical panel on the exterior and found no hot breakers or any breakers tripped. Checked light fixtures and the switches and all were OK. Did let the room mate know that code enforcement does not address appliances as code violation. At this time the room mate has no other issues to look at will be closing the case. Did have Rick Hollander assist on the inspection. Violation Abated, Close Case. RV.
