I CHECKED THE ELECTRICAL SERVICE PANELS AND FOUND METER FOR #9 WAS TAGGED AND LOCKED OUT, CONTACTED TEP MAP ROOM AND CONFIRMED WITH CATHY THAT THERE WAS NO POWER TO THE UNIT. SPOKE WITH MANAGER LINDA WHO STATED THAT THE OCCUPANT HAS SOME MENTAL ILLNESS, TODAY SHE WAS CALLED BECAUSE OCCUPANT DEMARCUS WALKER HAD "GONE OFF" AND WAS KIDKING HOLES IN THE WALLS OF THE APARTMENT AND THROWING THINGS AROUND, AND THAT WAS WHEN SHE FOUND OUT OCCUPANT HAD NO ELECTRIC. INFORMED ME THAT GRANDFATHER TO DEMARCUS WALKER LIVED IN UNIT #8. SPOKE TO DONALD WHO STATED GRANDSON WAS SEVERAL MONTHS BEHING ON RENT, SOME WHERE AROUND 6OO DOLLARS AND DOES NOT THINK HE WILL BE ABLE TO HAVE THE ELECTRIC TURNED BACK ON. I EXPLAINED THE NOV AND POSTING PROCESS TO DONALD STATED I COULD BE CONTACTED IF HE OR DEMARCUS HAD ANY QUESTIONS AND WAS SURE TO TELL DONALD THAT DEMARCUS COULD NOT BE IN THE UNIT DURING THE EVENING HOURS AND EXPLAINED CONSEQUENCES. NOV WAS ISSUED AND POSTED WITH "UNFIT TO OCCUPY POSTING MANAGER LINDA WAS GIVEN A COPY OF NOV AND GRANDFATHER DONALD ALSO RECEIVED A COPY.
04/12/2017 INSP - FOLLOW UP CODE ENFORCE goodman Approved visited site, unit remains vacant, door locked and window boarded. owners waiting for 21 day eviction process to be complete and then belongings will be removed with help of grandfather next door. compliance / close case.
