Every door, stairway, passageway or other means of exit shall be of sufficient size, width and arrangement so as to provide safe and rapid egress in the event of fire. 02/09/2017 T.C. Ch. 16, Sec. 16-11(c) ELECTRICAL SYSTEM. (1) All dwellings and dwelling units shall be provided with electrical service. Electrical facilities connected to or in any building or structure are to be maintained hazard-free and in a state of good repair. The electrical system shall be free from such hazards as bare wiring; overloaded circuits or services; equipment not properly grounded; over-fused circuits; misuse of wiring, including the use of extension cords in lieu of permanent wiring; non-approved wiring; and wiring exposed to moisture or extreme heat. Broken, loose, frayed, inoperable, defective or missing portions of the electrical service, lines, switches, outlets, fixtures and fixture coverings shall be repaired or replaced. (2) All electrical equipment, wiring and appliances shall be installed and maintained in a safe manner and in accordance with all applicable laws.

MAIN HOUSE STRUCTURE HAD SEVERAL BEDROOMS WITH WROUGHT IRON BARS INSTALLED OUT THE OUTISDE WITH OUT QUICK RELEASES IN THE INTERIOR. UTILITY CLOSET WITH EXPOSED WIRING, MOVING INTO KITCHEN LARGE AMOUNT OF GREASE BUILD UP ON THE STOVE AND FLOOR POSSIBLE ACCIDENTIALL FIRE FUEL AND MUST BE CLEANED UP. STORAGE ROOM ALONG EASTSIDE OF HOME WITH A LOT OF STORAGE WILL NEED A 3FT PATHS TO DOOR AND EXTENSION CORDS OVERLOADED IN THIS STORAGE AREA. BREAKER TO STORAGE ROOM WAS IDENTIFIED IN PANEL AND BREAKER WAS SHUT AS ABATE THE HAZZARD AS SOME OF OCCUPANTS WERE ARRESTED. MOVING TO REAR OF UNIT FOUND A 220 DRY OUTLET WITH UNUSED HOLE AT BOTTOM, MUST BE PLUGED (CIRCUIT WAS IDENTIFIED IN PANEL AND SHUT BREAKER). LARGE BUS ALONG WEST SIDE YARD WITH CLAIMS OF SOMEONE LIVING THERE DID NOT SEE ANY EVIDENCE TO SUPPORT THIS, BUS WAS LOCKED, TPD OFFICER TRIED SEVERAL KEYS HE HAD FROM PROPERTY BUT ABLE TO. DID LOOK INTO WINDOW DID NOT APPEAR TO BE USED TO LIVE IN NO EXTENSION CORDS OR WATER HOSES TO BUS NON ISSUE AT THIS TIME. LARGE STEEL CARPORT WITHOUT PERMITS TURNED OUT TO BE ON AN APPOVED SITE PLAN BACK IN 2009 UNDER CASE T09EL02006 NON ISSUE AT THIS TIME. NOV POSTED ON FRONT DOOR TO ADDRESS THE BARS ON THE WINDOWS WITH AN FOLLOW UP IN 7 DAYS, ALSO CALLED AND SPOKE TO OWNERS SON AND VERIFIED MAILING ADDRESS. I ADVISED HIM THAT A NOV WILL BE MAILED TO HIM TO ADDRESS THE OTHER VIOLATIONS. WILL CONTINUE TO FOLLOW CASE
02/28/2017 INSP - FOLLOW UP CODE ENFORCE VINDIOLA Approved Arrived on site and met with owner as meeting set for today for follow up. Check the storage room to find a walkway to the doorway and hallway leading out of storage room. Extension cords were all removed from storage room. Improperly terminated wiring was also eliminated from utility closet. All bedroom windows now had quick release Handles in the interior for exiting. Kitchen floor and stove were all cleaned and cleared of Grease. Went to outside the property and look at the 220 junction box a plug was now installed at the bottom. Property Owners met all conditions on notice of violation will move to close out this case
