01/12/2017 T.C. Ch. 16, Sec. 16-4. PERMITS REQUIRED. Unless otherwise exempt pursuant to section 301 of the Administrative Code, as adopted by reference per section 6-1 of this Code, or pursuant to any other ordinance or statute, no building, structure or building service equipment regulated by this chapter or by the technical codes adopted by the city shall be built, erected, constructed, enlarged, altered, repaired, moved, improved, removed, converted or demolished unless a permit first has been obtained from the building official in the manner provided in the administrative and building codes adopted by the city. The purpose of a permit is to ensure that all construction is inspected by qualified City of Tucson personnel as directed by ordinance to verify compliance with city codes. Failure to obtain proper permit with inspections and approvals shall deem the construction to be unsafe.

01/10/2017 INSP - INITIAL CODE ENFORCMENT VINDIOLA Approved Arrived on site for carport build without permit, structure was found approx 10ft X 16ft along Park Ave side of the property. Post were not in groud but rather tied to concrete pedestals with no anchoring to the ground. Knocked on door and met with owner, states he constructed this carport without knowlege of needing permits, gave him instruction on the permitting process and advised him I would be sending a NOV to him. Trash and debris was piled on property because B&B was to begin in his area by end of the month
02/23/2017 INSP - FOLLOW UP CODE ENFORCE VINDIOLA Approved Arrived on site for follow up to find all trash and debris at curb was all removed, carport structure was removed from the front of the location no longer seen. Will move to close out this case
